In the Zselic Hills, in the middle of a long-stretching valley, visitors may find a hunting lodge (today operating as a guesthouse), originally built by the Biedermann family in the early 20th century. Construction of the narrow-gauge railway that travels between Almamellék and Sasrét, which is still operating to date, was a merit of Baron Biedermann. The Forest Railway Museum, which is housed by the Almamellék station building, presents the area’s flora and fauna as well as forest management in the beginning of the 20th century. The 200-year-old beech forest next to the house is the county’s oldest forest; its beauty is further enhanced by the nature trails winding through it, and the springs whose surroundings have been developed.
